Favorite Websites

Page history last edited by cranefarm 3 years, 3 months ago

When I want to decide about checking out a movie, I go to RottenTomatoes.com. This is a good place to read a wide variety of reviews and see how the movie rated on the tomatometer-whether it is fresh or rotten. The tomatometer gives a quick visual total of all of the reviews. You can find new movies showing in the theaters as well as old movie information.  I also like the IMDB website mentioned below.---Cranefarm

My favorite quilting website is Quiltville by Bonnie Hunter.  Great tips for organizing your fabrics. Many wonderful and FREE patterns for using up your fabrics.---Quiltin' Library Lady

I enjoy seeing what others did with Elfyourself

I enjoy reading my fellow mommy bloggers blogs....Adventures In Baby Wearing, An Ordinary Life, Mommin' It Up and Mommy Daddy Blog to name a few.

I like reading the traveling librarian, and no I am not trying to get extra credit points.  I enjoy  playing cards on yahoo, esp. pinochle.  It is a great way to interact with people.  Once when I was playing, my son who was in Kuwait at the time was also on line playing, so we ended up being partners.  The best thing I have ever had happen and coolest on the internet.  Library535

20081020:  What, I am the first to post a favorite web site?  To glimpse an obsession, do a "type" search for "wrenches" at DATAMP.  I've done nearly 3,800  of these entries in 3 years.  Pat. no. 1,392,443 is local history for some of us.  Or contemplate some "patent people" I have happened across. -- Stan Schulz, editor, Missouri Valley Wrench Club Newsletter (www.mvwc.org)   All right, I also have composed most of our library's web site.

Holy cats! Hello Stan! I used to work with you at Keene Memorial in Fremont. I think I was there '81 to '88, back when we did it all with paper and pen. The only technology I remember using is the telephone. Anyway, back to the topic, I have a favorite message board or two: here's one: Homesteading Today message boards. This other one is encyclopedic, about plants: USDA Plants Database. You can search by common name and Latin name and it just gets better every day. -- Natalie

One of my favorite websites is http://www.electoral-vote.com/ . Carry on. --Madame Bonbon

One of my favorite web sites is the Internet Movie Database.  I can never remember the names of actors and actresses, so I'm always running to the computer to look up who's playing a role and where else I've seen that person!  --Kids R Great

I am surprised there are so few favorite web sites listed here!  Don't we all spend significant parts of our lives online now?  My favorite website for foodies is: www.epicurious.com
